With a sound that’s intense, claustrophobic, and impossible to ignore, The Order of the Precious Blood is like a horror movie brought to life. Ferocious songs match their extreme image. They stand in a league of their own as they apply their boundary-pushing sensibilities to more than just their music.
The Order of the Precious Blood's live performance is a ripping auditory experience by some of Newfoundland’s heaviest hitters. You’ll find high-level guitar work unconstrained by conventions of genre, a meticulously dialed-in rhythm section, and the electrifying vocal performance of a frontman on the edge. With a commanding debut in their debut ‘I No Longer Wish For Salvation’ EP (2023), The Order of the Precious Blood strike again with their fierce 2025 offering, ‘Dark Hallucinations.’
Both the band’s EPs earned East Coast Music Awards for Loud Release of the Year in 2025 and 2026 respectively, the 2025 win being the first time an artist from Newfoundland and Labrador has held the title since the award’s introduction in 2009. They hold the 2024 MusicNL Award in the Loud category, and their 2025 video for the single Terrified was nominated for MusicNL’s Music Video of the Year. The Order of the Precious Blood has supported Juno Award-winning prog metal giants Protest The Hero as local support for a pair of sold-out St. John’s shows in 2024, as well as Cancer Bats and ANCIIENTS in 2026.
Their proprietary blend of experimental hardcore musicality, mysticism, and darkness is a vessel through which they parse the greater questions of the universe. They gather their congregation in ceremony, preaching that our consciousness is the conduit to all that is known and unknown. PERFORMANCE & SHOWCASE HISTORY
The Order of the Precious Blood are based on the easternmost edge of Canada. They have performed in the Eastern Canadian region both as part of DIY tours and through industry showcasing events like the East Coast Music Awards Festival & Conference and NXNE. They were invited to play as local support for the St. John's tour dates of internationally touring artists Protest The Hero and Cancer Bats.
